What is it?

Our “InsideOut” Fall Retreat is our fall getaway for students and leaders to experience God together. It’s called “InsideOut” because students stop what they’re doing regularly, seek Jesus together as a group, and ask Him to make us all more like Him from the inside-out! It is a weekend experience all about making ourselves available to Jesus and letting our encounter with Him change us. “I-O” Fall Retreat is a weekend packed full of fun, worship, outdoor adventures, food, friends, and more. Students will experience large group worship sessions, awesome small groups, and engage in amazing outdoor activities. CGSM students & their friends in grades 6-12 are all invited to take part. Great fun and adventure await all students who participate!

WHERE AND WHEN IS IT?

CGSM students & friends are headed to Tonto Rim Christian Camp outside of Payson, AZ, Friday-Sunday, November 13-15, 2020. TRCC is an amazing camp that features an awesome setting for a weekend retreat plus many fun outdoor activities (i.e. hiking, octoball, archery, mountain scooters, basketball, volleyball, 9-square in the air, and more). Our group plans to leave from the N Santa Cruz Park (Skate Park) parking lot in Rancho Sahuarita at 2 PM (meet by 1:30 to check-in).

WHAT IS THIS YEAR’S THEME?

“THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!”

The world looks a certain way. The status quo. It is what it is. Things will never change. Until it does. Something happens. Something big. A complete 180° turn from death to life. That something is Jesus Christ.

The power of the Gospel is transformative. It takes hearts of stone and turns them into hearts of flesh. It flips the light switch on darkness. It resurrects the dead and breathes life into them. It delivers hope, it offers peace, and it changes everything.

Jesus shifts our attitudes, revolutionizes our thoughts, and reconstructs our words. When He comes into our lives, He gives us a new song, and we are fully, utterly, absolutely, to our very core transformed. In Christ, nothing can ever be the same!
