Common Ground Church gets it name from 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 where Paul says, “Yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him. I do this to get the Gospel to them and also for the blessing I myself receive when I see them come to Christ.”
This is our purpose as a church. Our desire is to find Common Ground with others within the bounds of our Christian faith to earn the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
At Common Ground Church, we do not have members. When you join Common Ground, we ask that you go ALL IN as a covenant partner. Partners join together for a common goal and share responsibility. We believe that God has given us the best goal of reaching people with Gospel Message and growing fully-devoted Christ followers. So, when people decide to make a decision to go ALL IN, they become partners at Common Ground to make a difference for Christ in our community and around the world.

The Gospel of Jesus is paramount. We believe that the Gospel or good news is found in the pages of the bible and tells the story of man’s separation from God and His redemption through Jesus Christ. Simply... the Gospel is the best and most important story ever told.
aBOUT GOD tHE fATHER
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

aBOUT GOD tHE SON
Jesus Christ is all God as well as all man. He is co-equal with the Father and the Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to Earth to reign as King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.

ABOUT GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is all God with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He give every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

ABOUT THE NATURE OF MAN
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

ABOUT OUR SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

ABOUT ETERNITY
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

ABOUT BAPTISM
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord’s Supper.

ABOUT COMMUNION
Jesus ate His last meal on earth with His disciples in an upper room. While they were eating, Jesus thanked God for the bread and the wine and gave it to the disciples. He told them that the bread represented His body which would be crucified and the wine His blood which would be shed on the cross. The meal symbolized Jesus’ death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. The apostle Paul explained that Christians were to re-enact this simple meal to remember what Jesus had done for them. (1 Corinthians 11:23-25) We regularly have communion and invite all believers to join with us.

ABOUT JESUS
- Jesus was born in a small rural town roughly 2,000 years ago. He was born into a lower–class family, to a teenage virgin mother and lived a relatively quiet life until the age of 30. At this time Jesus began his public ministry. Throughout the next three years, Jesus performed miracles, preached messages and proclaimed He was God by His word and His works. As promised in the scriptures, Jesus was crucified on a Roman cross to save humanity from sin, Satan and death. On the third day, Jesus rose from death and appeared to hundreds before ascending into the clouds to join His heavenly Father.
- Jesus arrived on the stage of human history on a mission — to reveal who God is, to show His reign as King and to reconcile men and women to God. In reconciling us to God, Jesus lived and died as a sacrificial substitute, living perfectly in the place of sinners, and dying gruesomely in the place of the guilty. Jesus is therefore the Savior of the world, the only way for sinners to be saved from the righteous wrath of God. Jesus accomplished His mission through His death, atoning for our sin, and through His resurrection, rising in victory over Satan, sin and death.
- Throughout His ministry, Jesus preached a consistent message. Jesus proclaimed that true life consisted in following him. Jesus calls us to repent of our rebellion, and believe in Him. We are to believe that Jesus is our all–satisfying savior, and that He accomplished His mission in the place of our failure.
- For those who believe in Him, Jesus promises eternal life, abundant joy, the help of the Holy Spirit and reconciliation with God the Father. Those who believe in Jesus are freed from their sin, guilt and shame, and commissioned to continue His mission in sacrificially serving the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus.
- One day Jesus will return, and all things will be restored to the praise of His glorious grace. He will call you His own. He will forgive your sins. All you must do is truly believe in Him. We want to talk to you about Jesus.
