CG KIDS - MINISTRY TEAM

NURSERY | PRESCHOOL | ELEMENTARY
Leader: Ryanne Davis - contact
Description: As the great poet, Whitney Houston once said, “the children are our future.” And we believe that too! Help us teach children about Biblical principles in a safe and fun environment.
Ideal interests: Caring for and leading babies and children. Partnering with parents & families (and other leaders) to disciple future generations.  
Time Commitment: Varies according to leadership position.

CG Students - MINISTRY TEAM

STUDENTS GRADES 6-12
Leader: Brandon Barfield - contact
Description: Our student ministry team invests in students' lives through leading small groups and being there for them in crazy, fun environments  so that they can know Christ and follow Him with their lives.
Ideal interests: Concern and care for the next generation. Partnering with parents & families (and other leaders) to disciple future generations and having fun doing it!
Time Commitment: Varies according to leadership position.

First Impressions

SET UP TEAM

Leader: Diego Dancil
Description: Have you ever been to a Sunday Morning Worship Service? That wouldn’t have been possible without our set up team! We transform a school cafeteria into a place where you and others come to experience and worship God on a weekly basis.
Ideal interests: Being awesome.
Time Commitment: 1 Sunday a month. from 7:30-9:30 am and 11 am-12 pm.
Requirements/Skills: Are you able to move tables, set up curtains, and put up signs? That’s pretty much the only requirement.

first impressions TEAM

Leader: David Taylor - contact
Description: Imagine walking into a new church and being greeted with a huge smile and a friendly “good morning!” multiple times before you even found a seat. Our greeters are the first experience guests have when visiting and set the tone for the entire service. Join us in creating an incredible first impression!
Ideal interests: People. Smiling. Handing bulletins out. Friendly conversation.
Time Commitment: 1 Sunday a month from 9:40-10:10.
Requirements/Skills: The ability to smile, wave, and say “good morning”.

worship Arts & tech 

Worship Team

Leader: Shawn Pack - contact
Description: Are you a vocalist or a musician? The CG Worship Team is a group of musicians who love God and desire to worship him with our musical gifts. We have the privilege of going to God and taking others with us every Sunday morning!
Ideal interests: Playing or singing music.
Time Commitment: Varies.
Requirements/Skills: The ability to play an instrument or lead worship vocally. Auditions are required. 

TECH TEAM

Leader: Michaela Barfield - contact
Description: Would you like to be a worship leader, but have no musical ability? Don’t fret. We’ve got the ministry for you! Our technology team works to create a distraction free and dynamic worship service every Sunday so we can experience God together!
Ideal interests: Technology. Graphics. Sound or Lights. Videos.
Time Commitment: Varies.
Requirements/Skills: The ability to press buttons and the commitment to learn the rest (in other words, we’ll train you)!

MINISTRY

PRAYER TEAM

Leader: Chris and Mona Scheopner - contact
Description: Oswald Chambers said, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” Join us in the greater work. Interceding on behalf of our friends, family, community and country.
Ideal interests: Praying.
Requirements/Skills: No skills needed. Come pray with us! 

SMALL GROUP LEADERS

Leader: Pastor Andy Murry - contact
Description:  A large percentage of people who attend Common Ground also attend a weekly Outpost (small group).  This is a great opportunity to connect with other people and dig deeper into understanding how the Bible empowers our lives.  This is a growing area of our church and we are always looking for new leaders.
Ideal Interests: Teaching/facilitating & hosting
Time Commitment:  A few hours per week
Requirements/Skills:  The ability to open your home to others and facilitate conversation pertaining to a small group curriculum
